FairSeverance.ca is a free lawyer matching service that seeks to connect individuals with independent employment lawyers. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Submission alone does not create a lawyer-client relationship with us or any lawyer. A lawyer must independently agree to represent you.

Lawyer Referrals

Lawyers in our network are independent practitioners. We do not employ them or control their practices. We do not guarantee the quality of legal services provided by any lawyer. You are responsible for evaluating and selecting a lawyer who meets your needs. The decision to retain a lawyer is entirely yours.

Matching and Response Times

We aim to respond within 24 hours. Response times vary, and a lawyer match is not guaranteed. This is a service response target, not a deadline for matching or a consultation. We do not guarantee any response, matching, consultation, acceptance of your matter, or legal outcome.

You may never be matched if no suitable participating lawyer is available or willing to assist. Availability depends on capacity, expertise, jurisdiction, conflicts of interest, and each lawyer's independent assessment and discretion. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.

Submitting information or waiting for a response does not suspend legal deadlines, including limitation periods or offer deadlines. We do not monitor deadlines or protect your legal rights. Seek independent legal help promptly for urgent or time-sensitive matters; do not wait for this service.

Using our matching service is free and does not oblige you to hire a lawyer. This does not mean legal work is free. Consultation availability, scope, and fees are set by the independent lawyer; confirm them directly before proceeding.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of FairSeverance.ca or its content providers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FairSeverance.ca is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services (if any).
